GGM Sixto Ramos Jr. holds the esteemed position as the lineage holder of the Kajukenbo KenKaBo legacy, a martial art system forged by the renowned Great Grand Master Sid Ascuncion.
The Kajukenbo Original Emperado Method, masterminded by Sijo Adriano Emperado, constitutes one of these foundational branches. Alongside it, the Kajukenbo Chuan Fa, shepherded by the venerable GGM Al Dela Cruz, stands as another integral facet. In a parallel vein, the Kajukenbo Wun Hop Kuen Do lineage, guided by the remarkable GGM Al Dacascos, adds to the diverse branches of this martial art. The Kajukenbo Iverson Method, a testament to the innovation of GGM George Iverson, completes this constellation of distinct approaches to Kajukenbo.
He is a founding member of the Four Horseman of Kajukenbo, GGM Al Dela Cruz, GGM Al Dacascos, GGM Sixto Ramos Jr. and GGM George Iverson.
Great Grand Master Sixto Ramos Jr. was born on June 20, 1942 in the Philippines.
Under the tutelage of Great Grand Master Sid Ascuncion, Sixto Ramos Jr. embarked on a transformative journey. Great Grand Master Ascuncion, a legendary figure in the martial arts community, recognized Ramos Jr.'s potential and took him under his wing. Ramos Jr. absorbed the teachings of Kajukenbo KenKaBo, a martial arts system renowned for its synthesis of diverse martial arts styles and developed a profound understanding of its techniques and philosophies.
He earned dozens of local, National and International Titles in his illustrious career fighting the top fighters in the nation in the heyday of martial arts competitions. His last title was won in Las Vegas crowned as Grand Champion in 2006 when he was in his mid 60’s!
Since then, GGM Sixto has been inducted into 3 International Halls of Fame alongside his wife SGM Ruth Luka Prince-Ramos.
Sixto Ramos Jr. was given the proper paperwork to take over the KenKaBo System by GGM Sid Ascuncion before his death in 1994.
Beyond his role as a martial arts leader, Great Grand Master Sixto Ramos Jr. enjoys working as he gets up every morning at 4 am to ensure that he provides for his family.
